Body Security is operated by Linda Salamé through the activity cooperative JobYourself Coop (VAT BE 0479 233 349).

What data we collect

Contact form

When you contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, organisation, email address and the content of your message.

Event bookings

When you book an event, we collect the information necessary to manage your booking, such as your name, email address and booking details. Payment card details are processed directly by Stripe and are not accessible to or stored by Body Security. We may retain transaction and booking information necessary to manage the booking and comply with applicable legal and accounting obligations.

Technical data

When you visit the website, certain technical information may be processed to operate and secure it, such as IP address, browser information, device information and connection data. Some of this processing may be carried out through Cloudflare, which provides website hosting, content delivery and security services.

Who receives your data

We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party marketing. Depending on the purpose, personal data may be processed by:

Stripe, for payment processing

JobYourself Coop, where applicable, for administration, invoicing and accounting of activities carried out through the cooperative

Cloudflare, Inc., for website hosting, content delivery and security

International data transfers

The website is hosted and protected using services provided by Cloudflare, Inc., a US-based company. Where Cloudflare transfers personal data from the EEA to the United States, it currently relies on its certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, on Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards. Other service providers may use their own appropriate safeguards for international transfers where required.

How long we keep your data

Enquiries that don't result in a booking or engagement are normally deleted when no longer needed, and in any event within 24 months, unless there's a legitimate reason to retain them longer. Information relating to bookings, contracts, invoices and accounting is retained for the periods required by applicable Belgian legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable legal basis, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and to receive certain data in a portable format. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise your rights, contact linda@bodysecurity.io. Requests are generally answered within one month, with a possible extension of up to two additional months in complex cases.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority:

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including HTTPS, restricted access to personal data, and security services provided by Cloudflare. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.
