Where the work starts
For now, the practice goes through one lens: food.
Food is the system most people touch three times a day, and the territory where the trace between world and body is most developed. The method is built to travel: if your question lives elsewhere, bring it anyway.
(01) Where are you coming from?
You design the system.
You design policies, infrastructures, products or environments, and need to understand what they produce beyond the outcome they were designed to achieve.
We can investigate: the systems, incentives and environments involved, their biological consequences, and where there may be leverage for change.
You deal with what the system produces.
You work with health, behaviour, attention, learning, capacity or agency, and need to understand the conditions producing the outcomes you see.
We can investigate: what happens between the environment and the body, and why individual behaviour may be only the visible end of a much larger system.
You want people to see the system differently.
You want an audience, community, organisation or institution to encounter a complex system rather than simply receive information about it.
We can build: workshops, salons, exhibitions, installations, public programmes, talks and other experiences that turn investigation into something perceptible.

A problem. A tension. Something that isn't adding up. It doesn't need to be fully defined.
We investigate
We trace the systems, environments, incentives and biological processes involved. We look for what is normally invisible, and where the consequences emerge.
We determine what the work needs to become
Sometimes that's a research investigation. Sometimes a briefing or framework. Sometimes a workshop, salon or masterclass. Sometimes an exhibition, installation or public experience. Often, it's more than one. The question determines the form.
Underneath all of it, two kinds of work:
Research, investigation, system mapping, evidence gathering and briefings.
Workshops, salons, masterclasses, exhibitions, installations, publications and public experiences.
Some questions need both.
