Terms of Sale
These terms apply to ticketed event bookings made through bodysecurity.io.
Who these terms apply to
Body Security is operated by Linda Salamé, through the activity cooperative JobYourself Coop (VAT BE 0479 233 349). These terms apply to anyone booking a public event through this website.
Public events (ticketed bookings)
Prices are shown in euros and include VAT where applicable, according to JobYourself Coop's applicable VAT status.
Booking is confirmed on payment. Payment is taken online at the time of booking via our payment provider, Stripe.
Cancellation by us
If Body Security needs to cancel an event (for example, due to weather, insufficient attendance or unforeseen circumstances), you will receive a full refund, or the option to move your booking to a future date if one is available.
Cancellation by you
You may request a full refund up to 48 hours before the event. After that, we are unable to offer a refund, as your place can no longer reasonably be filled.
Minimum numbers
Some events may be subject to a stated minimum number of participants. If that minimum is not reached, we will inform you at least 48 hours in advance and offer either a full refund or a place on a future date.
Right of withdrawal
Bookings made through this website are for leisure activities taking place on a specific date or during a specific period. In accordance with Article VI.53, 12° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to these bookings.
By booking an event, you acknowledge that you do not have a statutory right of withdrawal. Cancellation is instead governed by the cancellation terms set out in Section 2 above.
Liability
Except where mandatory provisions of Belgian law provide otherwise, Body Security's liability is limited to cases of intent, gross negligence, or failure to perform an essential contractual obligation. Body Security is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, except where such exclusion is prohibited by law. Participants take part in events at their own risk, subject to the foregoing.
Complaints and dispute resolution
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at linda@bodysecurity.io. If we are unable to resolve the complaint directly, you may contact the Service de Médiation pour le Consommateur (Consumer Mediation Service), an independent Belgian public body, at mediationconsommateur.be.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Belgian law.
